RBI Grade B 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens. Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India are also eligible as per the official notification.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2 April 1996 and not later than 1 April 2005.
Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other categories as per Government of India rules.
Attempt Limit: General category maximum 6 attempts. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates no attempt limit, provided the age criteria are met.
RBI Grade B 2026 Selection Process
The selection is done in three phases:
Phase 1 – Preliminary Exam: Objective type, 200 marks, 120 minutes. This is a qualifying round only. Phase 1 marks are not counted in the final merit.
Phase 2 – Mains Exam: Three papers, each of 100 marks. Papers I and III are 50% objective and 50% descriptive. Paper II is fully descriptive. Candidates shortlisted for interview based on aggregate Phase 2 marks.
Interview: Carries 50 marks. Final merit is based on Phase 2 marks and interview score combined.
For DEPR and DSIM cadres, candidates appear for Papers II and III only in Phase 2. For General cadre, all three papers are mandatory.
